Participating Schools
We realize that many other schools have similar groups established to unite their community as well. We do not want to replace those groups, but partner with them. We want to create a Seek community that connects all participating schools in a network of groups designed to unite their schools Christian community. From this community the leaders will be in contact with each other, posting prayer requests and informing each other on their events, new ideas, and how God is moving at their school.
Also, from this network, we hope to create an event that not only unites the fellowships, but the schools themselves. For example, we break the participating schools into regions, in the fall each school does their own event uniting their school, in the spring the schools of each region come together at a chosen host school for a larger event incorporating all the schools in their region.
If you are interested in either starting a Seek event at your school, or connecting your existing group to the community we would love to help you. We ask that you email us and let us know any questions you may have, and why you want to start it. We want to help you start Seek at your school, but we also want it to be unique to your campus. Each college is different, and no group will be identical, but the community will be designed to build and strengthen the participating schools.
If you are interested we will send you steps that we have found helpful in how to make the event a uniting event, creating a team with members from various fellowships, logos, flyers, T-shirts, and anything that you need to get started. We will also have someone from our team in direct contact with you in case you need any help, or have any questions.
Again, this is not because we have created the only successful way at UVa, but a way to connect the groups and help each other reach our campus. Please email us if you are interested.
